- Description:
- Bethel Methodist Church was organized about 1830. It is a unit of the West Point Circuit and is located at the junction of the Webb, Bartley, and Shumaker Roads in the Gray Hill Community in southern Troup County. These two volumes contain membership records, 1883-1960, and minutes of church meetings, 1883-1943. Admission and dismissal records make up the bulk of the quarterly conference minutes. Ministers and stewards reported on church finances, attendance, and visitation. Committee appointments for such duties as cemetery maintenance and repair to the church are also recorded.
