- Description:
- Letter from portrait painter and stage designer Ben Ali Haggin, III (1882-1951) whose envelope is addressed to Hazel Beamer (before she took her married surname of Cutler, and who lived from 1901-1980). The letter is written to Hazel Beamer's mother, Eva Elizabeth "Bessie" Baker Beamer (1864-1955), raving about Hazel Beamer's success in the production "Du Barry" noting that Mrs. Beamer should be proud of her daughter. Also enclosed with the letter is a program for Haggin's theatrical production "The Green Gong."
