- Description:
- Folder of letters written to Bessie Baker Beamer (1864-1955), and her daughter Hazel Beamer Cutler (1901-1980), most of which are signed by “Willie,” presumably Beamer's sister Willie Gertrude Baker. The letters mostly convey family news from Thomasville, Georgia, including reports on Beamer and Baker's sister Sallie Baker (1862-1953), and were probably written when Bessie Beamer was visiting her daughter Hazel while she was attending college and performing as a dancer in New York City during the 1920s.
