- Folder of letters, postcards, V-mail, and Christmas cards written to Sara "Sallie" Baker (1862-1953). The topics of the letters include genealogical research for the Baker and Mallard families; news and updates from friends and family, including news from Baker's niece Hazel Beamer Cutler (1901-1980). Hazel Beamer Cutler provides her with updates on her life in New York City, where she was attending college and performing as a dancer in the 1920s. Some of the letters from Hazel Beamer Cutler were written later in her life when she married and moved to Vermont. In one undated letter, Hazel Beamer Cutler describes seeing Adolph Hitler deliver a speech and expresses interest in the reaction of Hitler's audience. There are some postcards a Christmas card, and a V-mail Christmas card. Included in the correspondence to Sallie Baker is a letter from Philp Weltner, president of Oglethorpe University, thanking her for the gift of her father John Elijah Baker (1830-1890)' s Oglethorpe University diploma. John Elijah Baker graduated from Oglethorpe University in 1852.
