 -     Acrylic painting by Keith Bankston.
Bankston was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. A trip to Paris after his high school graduation inspired him to pursue a career in art. After graduating from Florida State University, he returned to middle Georgia and taught art in the Bibb County public schools while working to establish a career as an exhibiting artist. His career was cut short by his death from AIDS in 1992; he was 34 years old.
