- Saint Paul's Church, Augusta, GA. Parish Register 1913-1934. Approximately 235 pages. Images from a handwritten bound volume recording baptisms, confirmations, communicants, and burials performed by the clergy of Saint Paul's Church, Augusta, Georgia, between the years 1913 and 1934, with some entries dated before 1913. Pages 2-81 contain an alphabetical index of parishioner names and page numbers in register on which names occur. Initial images comprise pages inserted at the front of the volume as a supplementary index of names. Baptismal records indicate name of person baptized, date and place of birth and baptism, and names of parents, sponsors, and officiating clergy. Marriage records are not included because they were kept in a separate register.Communicant and confirmation records indicate names of communicants and confirmands, date received or confirmed, confirming Bishop, and status of communicant as active, transferred, or deceased, with occasional notations of other circumstances. Burial records list full name and age of deceased, communicant status, last known residence, and cause of death (if known), date of death, date and place of burial, officiant clergy.The original volume was microfilmed February 9, 1960 by Horace Mewborn for the Georgia Department of Archives and History.
