- A love letter to one of the Mobley daughters, dated April 4 [n.d.] from "Sunny Side, with the salutation "My own darling" and signed "Your loving Louis," probably written to one of the Mobley daughters, reading, in part, as follows: "Doubtless you are thinking 'strange thing'" of me for neglecting you in such a manner, but I believe my turtle dove, you are ever upper-most in my skull. Darling I am dying to look on your fair face again and at the mere mention of your sweet name, sensations of exquisite joy caper about my huge heart like young goats on a stable roof."
