- A photograph of polio patients browsing the merchandise in the Meriwether Inn gift shop at the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation, Warm Springs, Meriwether County, Georgia, sometime between 1929 and 1934. Built in 1893, the Meriwether Inn was the centerpiece of the old Warm Springs resort, and of the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation from 1927 to 1934. The Georgia Warm Springs Foundation tore down the inn in 1934 to make way for new, more accessible structures in keeping with the foundation's new mission as a polio rehabilitation center.
