- A photograph of Pierson Cottage at the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation, Warm Springs, Meriwether County, Georgia, sometime between 1930 and 1940. This house served as Franklin Delano Roosevelt's first home in Warm Springs from 1924 to 1927 when he completed McCarthy Cottage. Roosevelt owned this house for about one year before selling it to Georgia Warm Springs Foundation trustee James T. Whitehead. Upon Whitehead's death, the house passed to his daughter Elizabeth Pierson.
