- Description:
- A photograph of an exterior view of McCarthy Cottage at the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation, Warm Springs, Meriwether County, Georgia, sometime between 1930 and 1940. Built by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1927, the house became McCarthy Cottage when the Foundation leased it for life to Georgia Warm Springs Foundation trustee Leighton McCarthy and his son after Roosevelt moved into the Little White House in 1932. McCarthy Cottage burned to the ground in a fire in 2011.
