- Description:
- The William P. Nicolson House (1892), located on Piedmont Avenue in the Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta, is one of only a few remaining examples of W. T. Downing's residential architecture.
Photograph of the front exterior of the William P. Nicolson House, located on Piedmont Avenue in the Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. The aquamarine-colored exterior walls are clad in both clapboard and board-and-batten siding. Delicate white ornamentation in a swag and shell motif decorate the second floor. A brick chimney rises from the roof, and an American flag hangs from the first level of the structure.
Built in 1892, this home is one of only a few remaining examples of W. T. Downing's residential architecture. This structure now houses the Shellmont Bed and Breakfast Lodge. - Metadata URL:
