- Historic photograph, circa 1914, of the St. Simons Island Lighthouse, which was designed by architect Charles Cluskey. Cluskey was hired to rebuild the lighthouse after it was damaged in the Civil War; he died before the project was completed.
Photograph, circa 1914, of the St. Simons Island Lighthouse, on St. Simons Island, Georgia. The white lighthouse has black detailing on the top near the light. A single window is built into the side of the lighthouse about halfway up the side. The lighthouse keeper's dwelling stands in front of the lighthouse. It is a two-story Victorian home featuring a porch with detailed woodwork. A white picket fence stands in front of the home. This lighthouse was designed by architect Charles Cluskey.
