Description:: The Derrell C. Roberts Library at Dalton State College, named in honor of the college's second president, opened in 1972. In 2002 an expansion doubled the size of the facility.

This library opened in 1972 and was named in honor of the college's second president in 1997. A 2002 expansion doubled the facility's size. Its collection includes more than 117,000 printed volumes, 201,000 microforms, and 7,500 media items, as well as 102,000 federal government documents and 900 current serial subscriptions.
Dalton State College is one of two units of the University System of Georgia offering a range of academic programs from the career certificate to the four-year baccalaureate degree. It primarily serves a ten-county area in Northwest Georgia.
