Photograph of Pearce Auditorium on the campus of Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. Construction on the four-story Second Empire-influenced building began on April 1, 1896. The auditorium was completed within a year and dedicated on May 21, 1897. In 1978 the building was named to the National Register of Historical Places.
Brenau was founded in 1878 as a small, private institution for the education of women. Today approximately 2,400 male and female students are enrolled annually in its four divisions (the Women's College, the Evening and Weekend College, the Online College, and the Academy). - Metadata URL:
