- The lush, expansive campus, comprising more than 26,000 acres, draws tourists and students alike to Berry College. Since the late 1980s Berry College has been regularly ranked by several publications as one of the Southeast's top five regional liberal arts institutions.
Photograph of a group of students walking around the Old Mill at Berry College campus in Mount Berry, Georgia. Constructed in 1930, the Old Mill boasts an iron hub which had originally been of service at Hermitage, an early manufacturing community near the Shannon village between Rome and Calhoun, Georgia, and was a gift to Berry from The Republic Mining (bauxite) and Manufacturing Company. Henry Ford had the hub moved to Berry where the wheel was rebuilt. Berry College owns about 28,000 acres. By the 1990s Berry College annually enrolled approximately 1,800 undergraduates and roughly 200 students in its business and education graduate programs. - Metadata URL:
