- Description:
- Fahamu Pecou is a 2013-2014 Working Artist Project award winner. Pecou examined "saggin," the trend of wearing pants below one's waist, and how the style is interpreted both by and about black males, issues of masculinity and the graveness of negative stereotyping. Catalog contains an essay by Ronda Racha Penrice, a statement by the artist, and a portrait of the artist, with photography by Michael McKelvey and TT Coles. Juried by Franklin Sirmans.
