- Original map of City of Gainesville, prepared by Timothy Terrell IV, Civil engineer of note. The government employed him on engineering and surveying contracts and he surveyed and laid out the streets of Gainesville in 1820. He ran boundary lines between Georgia and North and South Carolina and helped survey the Mississippi country.
