- Chicken raising by scientific method was the inspiration for this chicken house in 1924, "Gainesville Ice Fuel Company, Milk-Fed Poultry." Gainesville then had become the "greatest chicken and egg center of Georgia" (Hearst's Sunday American, Atlanta, June 8, 1924) C. B. Romberg and M. B. Sharp promoted the new industry.
