- Public school, Gainesville, Ga., 1920s. Photograph of the Public School of Gainesville, Georgia. The name was later changed to Main Street School. In 1903 the building was constructed on South Main Street. This picture postcard was made in the 1920s. The school building was demolished in 1978, and the new Hall County Jail was constructed in the same location.
