- Photograph taken of the Gainesville Public Square around 1955. View is looking northwest toward the Hotel Princeton. Notice the trees have been removed and replaced by low-growing shrubbery. The Hotel Princeton was torn down in 1959, and in 1960 the lot became the site of the Woolworth store.
