- Gower Springs Resort Hotel. Illustration of Gower Springs Resort Hotel. Located between Green Street Circle and Thompson Bridge Road. The hotel crowned a hill overlooking the springs. Named for the E.N. Gower, Sr. Built in 1880s, it was beyond corporate city limits and was connected with Gainesville by a streetcar line.
