- Photograph of the Wheeler Hotel. In 1931, A. C. Wheeler bought this property at 127 North Main Street from Mrs. J. H. Martin for $10,000. It began operations as a hotel and coffee shop. The hotel was razed circa 1966, and was used as a drive-thru service of the Gainesville National Bank. The land was sold to Hall County in 1969, and became part of the rear parking lot of the Chestatee Regional Library.
