- Description:
- Clark home. Photograph of the old Clark home, located on Clark's Bridge Road, just across the Chattahoochee River. The home was built by slave labor and was constructed of hand-made brick. Elizabeth Ingram Clark, widow of Sevier Clark who died in 1842, was left the responsibility of rearing nine childern. The youngest child was three weeks old at the time of Sevier Clark's death. Elizabeth operated a ferry across the river, and the house was built under her direction.
