- Description:
- Shambles of a Gainesville home, April 1936. A lake near Gainesville was used as the main water supply system to fight the fires that were caused by the tornado of April 6, 1936. The water was no longer pure, and people were asked to boil their drinking and cooking water. The Red Cross hauled in pure drinking water in barrels for the people's use.
