- Home of Col. C. C. Sanders. The home of Col. C. C. Sanders, which was located on South Main Street about four blocks from the Southern Railway Depot. It was once occupied by Ward's Funeral Home and then by the Bell-Minor Home before it was demolished. Col. Sanders was a prominent business man of Gainesville shortly after the Civil War.
