- A recording by the Georgia Nurses Association of a commemorative service of the fifth district with their past presidents held at the Academy of Medicine building in Midtown Atlanta and a follow-up meeting the next morning with former director Jane Van De Vrede. Van de Vrede was ill and unable to attend the big event, but wanted to addresses young nurses and encourage them to take part in their professional organization. The GNA honored Van De Vrede and other past presidents with a plaque.
