Description:
The Evening Signal, volume 5, number 11 (March 25, 1938). The Evening Signal was the student newspaper of the Night Division of the University Extension Center in Atlanta. Published on a monthly schedule during the academic year but issued irregularly, it appeared from October 2, 1933 until April 23, 1943. From September 21, 1936 until May 2, 1938, the Evening Signal was published twice a month. No issues were published in November 1935 or December 1939-April 1940. Twice, the Evening Signal was published in combination with the Day Division newspaper: as the Collegiate-Signal on April 21, 1941, and as the University Signal on September 22, 1941. The Evening Signal merged with the Day Division newspaper permanently in 1943, creating The Signal.
