- Seungmin Lee is a restaurateur in Atlanta, Georgia. She and her family moved to Atlanta in 1991 from Seoul, Korea. They started a series of successful Korean and Mexican restaurants on Buford Highway and watched the growth of the Korean-Vietnamese community in Atlanta. Today, Lee owns her own restaurant on Buford Highway.
In this interview, Seungmin Lee describes her transition from Seoul, Korea to the United States, her early life in Atlanta, and the contrast between the two cities. She talks about her education, her work in her parents' restaurant, and the difficulties of the business. She describes the impact of Buford Highway on her life and the development of her career. She talks about running her own business, her successes, and her memories of the Korean and Vietnamese communities on Buford Highway.
