- Description:
- Ms. Karen Wang was born and raised in Taipei city, Taiwan. She emigrated to the United States with her husband and her young son to establish their international trading business. They lived in Houston, Texas before relocating to Atlanta, GA permanently. After relocating to Atlanta, they started their restaurant La Maza in Buford, Georgia.
In this interview Ms. Karen Wang talks about her experience as a Taiwanese immigrant living and running a business in Atlanta, GA. She mentions the reasons why her family and several other Asian families at the time came to Atlanta, GA and how they decided to emigrate to the United States for a better life. She recalls her memories of the old Buford city and the Asian restaurants that called the city home before Atlanta had hosted the Olympic games. - Metadata URL:
