- This Item contains two brochures from the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and a Media packet for the proposed E.I. DuPont De Nemours & Co. Titanium Mining Project. The first nature brochure is titled Amphibians, Fish, Mammals, and Reptiles and contains a list of all of the animals that can be found, along with a description and space to mark-off any that you see. The second brochure is titled Birds and similarly contains a list of all of the birds that life in the Refuge with information pertaining to their migratory patterns and prevalence in the Refuge depending on the season. The Media Packet was prepared for a visit by the Secretary of the Interior, Bruce Babbitt - April 3, 1997. It lists the concerns for the project, and DuPonts proposal for the mine.
