- Brandon Douglass, also known as Trendsetter Sense, is a DJ, radio host, and music professional based in Atlanta, Georgia. Douglass was born in 1977 in Philadelphia where he spent most of his upbringing before moving to Atlanta to attend Clark Atlanta University. Douglass is a founding member of the Aphilliates, Gangsta Grillz radio and mixtapes, and Rhythm & Streets mixtapes and podcast. Douglass currently hosts a faith based radio show on Atlanta's Hot 107.9 hip hop radio station.
Within this interview, Douglass discusses his upbringing in Philadelphia and his development as a DJ and voice in Atlanta's music scene. Douglass describes his upbringing in Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as well as the impact his family has had on his life career. He also discusses becoming immersed in hip hop culture during his youth, particularly graffiti and DJing. Douglass talks about how his DJing career grew once he moved to Atlanta to attend Clark Atlanta University. He discusses creating the Aphilliates DJ crew with DJ Drama and Don Cannon and creating Gangsta Grillz and Rhythm & Streets mixtapes.
