- The map shows employment growth also exhibits a distinct northward trend during the planning period, but no so marked as population. The greatest growth occurs along the I-75 North, I-85 North and Ga. 400 corridors, and the northern I-285 corridor. Significant growth also occurs in the I-20 East corridor and in the central area of Atlanta. Though the employment growth is the southside is less than the north, the forecast southside increase is quite substantial. Depicted is period of growth, 1980-2010, interstate system, and directional section boundary.
