- Description on Verso: "Sam and Desiree Tillis are shown Wednesday afternoon in this portrait taken of them. Same and Desiree Trillis had wanted out of the drug-infested Clark-Howell housing project for a few months, and had told Atlanta Housing Authority of their desire. But the night they were pinned down in their apartment by a drug-related shootout outside, they decided they had waited long enough. they took their belongings and left, decideing that life on the street would be better than being in a drug-ruled housing project. Since Aug. 15, the Tillises have been without a home, spending some time the Atlanta Hotel with money provided by Jewish Family Services. The couple spent most of this month as "street people" until JFS got them into a temporary apartment in Grant Park. Now, the couple are suing AHA for a safe, permanent home."
