- Description on Verso (handwritten): "This is a picture of the Empire Bldg. which is now the B--- and Southern National Bank Bldg. The N.Y. Life moved into this building the first of 1902, before it was quite furnished and we remained here until 1922. While we were here and Mr. Robert Lee Cosney having been made Agency Director in the late 1890s and then Inspector of Agencies of the Southern Department, was in command. 1900 to 1903 in New Orleans, La. Then 1903-1906 in Chattanooga, Tenn. as General Agent coming back to Atlanta in 1906 to take charge of the Proxy Campaign in the Armstrong investigation."
