- Description on verso: " IT"S YOUR SHOT, YOUR HONOR: Mayor Sam Massell prepares to take his turn in a game at the $1.2 million Sarah K. Lowrie Recreation Center during open house at the community center in Pittman Park at Mary and Garibaldi streets SW in the Model Cities area. The center, named in honor of a woman who has worked with the City Parks and Recreation Center 28 years, has a gymnasium equipped with stage and basketball court, meeting rooms, arts and crafts area, Olympic-size swimming pool and a dividing tank with three diving boards. One of Mrs. Lowrie's goals is to be "a mother away from home" for the kids."
