- Description:
- Includes cover note on the transcriptions dated October 15, 2013. The songs were performed by Bob Strain (piano), and Sam Hagan, Janet Metzger, and Franklin Abbott. Strain transcribed the songs from the CD recording, "Ludar: The Broughton Songs," recorded in 1993. The CD had 12 songs on it and the text quotes Ludar, "I dedicate these songs to James Broughton whose poetry inspired them. The first poem of his I ever read I knew instantly that I could turn into a song. His words sang to me and all I had to do was sing them back to him."
