- Description:
- Card has become separated from the envelope. Front of card: "Epitaphs for Two Neighbors in Macon County No Poet Could Forget..." Text: 11 May 97. Beloved Franklin -- I love you. I treasure your devotion. I love you loyalties and your laughter. Thank you for writing me in my declining time. I have few excitements. Black Sparrow [Press] says my 50 year selected will be out in October. I am only sorry that the editor chose to omit my most impressive pieces such as those you mentioned reading to a recent gathering. Maybe someday your editing skills can be brought to bear on my overlooked voices. Blessings James.
