- Description:
- Letter on lined, yellow notepad paper: 23 Oct 97. Fond fellow Franklin, Maybe I already sent one of these to you. It's sort of pretty, in any case. Do you ever see the Harvard Gay and Lesbian Review? A memoir-piece by me in the fall issue, sort of a corollary to Coming Unbuttoned: the 70's with Joel, our three weddings & [ ] with the Sisters. My Sparrow [i.e., Black Sparrow Press] book won't be out much before Thanksgiving. It has run over 300 pages. I fear it will look intimidating. I plod along somehow, if one can be said to plod in a wheelchair. Joel's sacred stones continue to proliferate. We don't travel any more, so we count on you for foreign postcards. Stephen S. is in New Zealand. Meanwhile, is there steamy news from Atlanta? Are you and Everett thriving? Did Gay Spirit have a good gathering? Warmly do I recall our September there. Write when you have something to share. You should look into Cyrus Cassells' new book of erotic poetry, "Beautiful Signor." Some lovely love stuff. Here's love from here, dear one, James.
