- Description:
- File includes envelope. Text of letter: 19 Nov 97. Darling Franklin -- You Tasty box and beautiful messages enrich my heart. 84 has turned out to be a rewarding peak indeed. 48 friends joined us to celebrate our two towering cakes with champagne and music. And now these Southern goodies from you, with your very fine poems. Joel has pinned the recipes to his bulletin board. Pity that you & Everett were not here in person. Dear one, I am asking Black Sparrow to send you a "review" copy of my book, which they say should be out next week. Despite significant omissions it is a fat book. Hard to ignore, I hope. I am glad you have love in your life. More from me, if you need it. Always, James. This handwriting, isn't it pitiful?
