- Description:
- Includes envelope postmarked September 20, 1974, addressed to Gough on Center Street, Atlanta, Georgia: Text: September Nineteenth // I received your "note." You sounded pretty much down. I do hope your spirits have improved some. Tommy is only in Macon, available on impulse at limited expense: weekends, phone calls, etc. Still being singular is difficult to depressing: "there's a hole in the bed" -- other places too. // Work, work, work. Get high, get high. Eat/sleep. That is about all I've been up to other than blowing my nose (this is a delightful time of the yr. for me). // Work is tolerable. I still don't know about lucky 17 -- may never. I have been "working the register" for a psychological technician. I sent out about 50 notices, got over 20 responses & have interviewed six people with at least four or five to go. The job market must be terrible. I have talked with people willing, even eager to move to Ashburn from Atlanta, Columbus, Augusta. One girl is even calling me from Milwaukee. It's quite strange for me & I'm sure the same for these applicants. Hold on to your job, Cal, 'til you get a new one. // Enclosed is something possibly useful. I will attempt a sojourn to Atlanta the 28th take care. Hope to see you when I do get there. F. [enclosure mentioned not present]
