Lane Brothers, Atlanta, Ga., Gentlemen:-- Please send us as promptly as possible the following duplicates of the photographs taken at the "E" Presentation Ceremonies [list of 29 negatives]... C.A. Townes, Agent." The 1943 Lane Brother Assignment Book (p. 71) describes the project: "May 10, Aragon Mills Division, A.D. Juilliard & Co., Aragon, Ga., 39 photos Army-Navy "E" Award -- $117.00; 39 duplicates -- $39.00; 10 prints to Harry Riemer, Daily News Record (bill mailed) -- $10.00; auto 130 miles, by C.A. Townes, agent." The photographer of the project was to be either W.C. Lane or J.H. Lane. Prints and copies requested in May 25 letter were made on May 26 and are briefly mentioned in 1943 Assignment Book, p. 81.
