- This clipping reproduces one of the photographs made by J.H Lane Jr. and Dan Lane for the premiere of Gone with the Wind in Atlanta at Loew's Grand Theatre on December 15, 1939. The article was published in an Atlanta newspaper for the fourth release of the film (1939, 1947, 1954, and 1961). The photograph reproduced celebrates the arrival of the film's male star, Clark Gable, and his wife Carole Lombard in Atlanta on December 14, 1939. Also pictured in the photograph are Atlanta mayor William B. Hartsfield, and former Georgia Governor, E.D. Rivers.
