- There are two Lane Brothers envelopes of negatives for this event (LBCE5-43 and LBCE5-44); they contain a total of 99 negatives, eight of which have been digitized. The 1949 Lane Brothers Assignment Book accounts for only 57 of the 99 images. Envelope description: Davison-Paxon Company; Davison's Event. Description from 1949 Lane Brothers Assignment Book (p. 293) has two entries that describe the contents of the envelope, both on August 15, 1949: "Davison-Paxon, Miss Caruthers; 22 photos of opening"; and "Davison-Paxon Co., [commissioned] by Miss Crimm; 35 photos of opening, new part of store; 2 8x10 men in rug dept.; 8 8x10 prints, rug dept.." The photographs were made by "Dub" Lane, Dan Lane, and Charles D. Jackson.
