- Envelope description: Citizen Crime Prevention Commission; Summerhill. Description in 1949 Lane Brothers Assignment Book (p. 169): "Citizens Crime Prevention Commission Inc. Mrs. Lon Sullivan. 1 photo of Drew Pearson, Biltmore Hotel." The photograph was taken by W.C. Lane, Jr.In 1949, President Harry Truman referred to Pearson as an S.O.B.Pearson said the acronym referred to"Servants of Brotherhood" and invited Truman to join the organization. Thereafter in 1949, various certificates and awards were given out to and from the "Servants of Brotherhood." In the photo it is unclear if Pearson is giving or receiving such a certificate.The Citizens Crime Prevention Commission of the Greater Atlanta Area was organized in June 1947.
