- Local 71; Freeda Fuller, Elsie Rinker, Slim Boggs, Robert Ritter; Emaulel "Slim" Boggs (1907-1994) was the UTW leader at the Dan River Mills in Danville, Virginia, during the 1950s. He led the 1951 strike. Robert Ritter was "AFL- Local 71 Textile Workers" president in 1954.
