- Herbert Hoover (Herb) Mabry (1929-2011) joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 225 (Atlanta, Ga.) in 1950 and was elected its president in 1969. He served as secretary of the Georgia State AFL-CIO, 1970-1972, and as president, 1972-1999. Mabry was an officer or board member of numerous other labor organizations and charities, and was appointed to several state agencies.
The photographed artifact is a tie made up of a collection of pins. The pins are representative of multiple state councils and are arranged on a red cord. - Metadata URL:
