- In 1955-56, members of the International Woodworkers Union, Locals S-426 and S-429, conducted a strike against the W. T. Smith Lumber Company mills in Chapman and Greenville, Alabama. The strike resulted in a court finding that picketing at railroad tracks was unlawful. Caption on reverse of this photograph reads: "Chapman - looking South - showing Depot crossing pickets on location mainline on right siding on left, enlarge for trial."
