- Recording of the Mississippi Committee on Political Education (COPE) meeting in 1968 and a meeting of the Mississippi State AFL-CIO executive committee. In this recording, on side one, the state COPE meeting is lead by Claude Ramsay and they hear speakers on the cost of living, education, and other community issues. On side two, Claude Ramsay leads a meeting of the executive committee and discusses recent accomplishments of the labor movement as well as clarifying the upcoming meetings and issues for the union, including their support of Hubert Humphrey in his presidential campaign against Nixon. The recording ends with a closing speech about the AFL-CIO before the convention goes to recess.
