- Description:
- Recording of the Sixth Biennial Convention of the Mississippi AFL-CIO. In this recording, Claude Ramsay leads a meeting of delegates who hear speakers regarding the political activities of the labor movement and affected issues, such as wage control, inflation, and minority labor union members. Speakers discuss the importance of voting, the faults of the Nixon administration from the perspective of the labor movement, the effects of education on the issues faced by the labor union, and vote on items which the labor union must publish an opinion. The recording ends with the swearing-in of newly and re-elected members of the executive board and their acceptance speeches.
