Markwood discuss the recent addition of federal employees in Alaska to the competitive civil service merit system. They discuss the issue of compensation and that the cost of living allowance does not account for the conditions in Alaska, as well as retirement, classification, and health insurance. Markwood discusses the growth of the NFFE in Alaska and lists the heads of all NFFE Locals in the territory.
